Requirements for related party disclosures in ACT Government controlled entities financial statements.

Accounting Policy

The following information is the Accounting policy on Related Party Disclosures, guidance and template for Designating Staff Key Management Personnel (KMP).

Data Collection Form

In order to complete the Data Collection Form please use the following three steps.

Step 1 - Guidance Booklet

The Guidance Booklet assists KMP in completing the Data Collection Form (Step 2).

The material in this booklet provides general guidance about related party disclosure requirements.

Step 2 - Data Collection Form

Directors-General, Chief Executive Officers and other staff occupying positions designated as KMP complete the Form for the relevant period.

KMP are requested to complete the Form with details of related party transactions undertaken with ACT Government controlled entities in which they are designated KMP.

KMP Data Collection PeriodInstructions Data Collection Form

Period 1
1 July to 30 November 20YY

All KMP requested to complete the Comprehensive Form for Period 1 each financial year.

Period 2
1 December 20YY to 30 April 20YY

The Form has Part A (No Changes Advice) and Part B (Comprehensive Form)

Complete Part A - If KMP completed the Comprehensive Form for Period 1 and there are no changes in the details provided.

or

Complete Part B - If KMP completed the Comprehensive Form for Period 1 but those details have since changed

or

If KMP did not complete the Comprehensive Form for Period 1.

Period 3
1 May 20YY to 30 June 20YY

If the details previously provided in Period 1 or 2 have changed please complete Part B of the  Period 2 Form.

Step 3 - Notification requirement

The Notification to Close Family Members accompanies the Data Collection Form and informs Close Family Members of KMP the requirement to disclose related party transactions.

The Draft Disclosure Note – Related Party accompanies the Data Collection Form and assists with understanding how the information collected in the Data Collection Forms might be presented in the Financial Statements of ACT Government controlled entities.
